Toronto,ON- We still don’t know when the season will return but the Ryerson Rams Men’s Basketball Program has the second member of their 2020-2021 recruitment class.
On Wednesday the Ryerson Rams announced the transfer of Tyler Sgal over from Marist College in the NCAA D-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).
Sgal joins the Rams after a strong freshman season with Marist College in which he averaged 8.5 points per game, leading all MAAC freshman in scoring. Back in January Sgal was at his best when he scored a season high 23 points in a 75-73 overtime win over Manhattan.
Prior to heading to Marist College, Sgal spent time with Lincoln Prep in the OSBA in Toronto where he was twiced named an OSBA Second Team All-Star.
Sgal will certainly have his first matchup with the Lakehead Thunderwolves circled on his calendar as Sgal’s younger brother Chris was recruited back in April to join the Thunderwolves program up in Thunder Bay.
The OUA season is still not close to returning but when it does, Coach DeAveiro and the Rams have added another strong piece to their arsenal.
