TORONTO, ON – With less than 24 hours to go until the start of the 2024 U SPORTS men’s hockey championship at Toronto Metropolitan University, 49 Sports has polled 10 journalists from across Canada on their predictions for the tournament, taking place at the former Maple Leaf Gardens.
Every journalist but one has selected the UNB Reds to defend their title and win the 10th University Cup in program history, while the second-most predicted team to make the final was the UBC Thunderbirds.
Action at the 2024 U SPORTS University Cup gets underway at 1:00 p.m. ET on March 14, when the Brock Badgers take on the UNB Reds. The host TMU Bold will face the Calgary Dinos at 7:00 p.m. ET to close out the first day of competition.
